“GIRLS ARE GOING TO HAVE FUN”

Day1: Savannah Georgia is the destination for this ALL-GIRLS ADVENTURE. We will tour the Mercer- Williams House & Andrew Low House. You will enjoy lunch on your own while exploring the City Market, visiting the indoor shops and the fun Art Galleries on the second floor. This afternoon we will visit the Tybee Lighthouse & Museum. Afterwards, dinner will be @ The Crab Shack on Tybee Island. You can feed the baby alligators in the Gator Lagon or visit the rescued exotic birds in the Gift Shack. (B)

Day 2: A step-on guide will join us for a private tour covering multiple magnificent squares and hear the exciting stories of Savannah women throughout the years. We will highlight the beauty, influence and uniqueness of Savannah. There will be a tour of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and stop to take pictures at the Forsyth Park Fountain. After the tour you will have time to explore River Street. Tonight, you will have time to relax on the Georgia Queen as we glide down the Savannah River and enjoy a specially prepared buffet-style dinner. A great way to end the day! (B, D)

Day 3: After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and stop @ Tanger Outlets for some shopping before returning to Greenwood. (B)

WASHINGTON DC – Museum of the Bible & PENNSYLVANIA (Philadelphia, Lancaster, Hershey, Harrisburg)

June 24th – 29th

Day 1: Today is a travel day. We will overnight in Manassas, VA. (D)

Day 2: You will enjoy the highlights tour of the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC. There will also be the virtual reality tour of the lands of the Bible. This virtual reality experience offers an exciting tour of 19 biblical sites. After the tour we continue on to Philadelphia to stay for 2 nights. (B, D)

Day 3: After breakfast, our step-on guide will join us for a tour of this historic city with a visit to Independence Hall. Lunch will be on your own @ Reading Terminal Market with time to explore & shop. After a day of exploring Philadelphia, dinner will be @ a local restaurant. (B, D)

Day 4: After breakfast, say goodbye to Philly as we travel to Amish country in Lancaster. Learn how the Amish live without conveniences with a guided tour through the Amish Country Homestead and Schoolroom with several stops along the way. You will have many choices for lunch (on your own) @ the Farmer’s Market. This afternoon, @ the Sight & Sound Theatre, see the spectacular theatrical experience to witness one of the Bible’s most hope-filled stories come to life as you see DANIEL. Tonight, you will enjoy a Dutch Meal family style @ Plain & Fancy Restaurant. (B, D)

Day 5: Our journey takes us to Hershey to smell the chocolate and visit the simulated factory. You will have time to purchase chocolate. After learning more about Hershey, we travel on to Harrisburg for a 45-minute sightseeing tour aboard The Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat Tour. This is only one of six authentic paddlewheel riverboats in the United States. We will stay tonight in Winchester, Virginia. (B, D)

Day 6: Our journey brings us home tonight with memories of a wonderful trip and our new friends! (B)

California Coast & Yosemite

DAY 1: ARRIVE LOS ANGELES

Arrive in Los Angeles to begin your California Coast & Yosemite travel experience. Meet your Tour Director and transfer to your Los Angeles area hotel. Tonight enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travelers. (D)

DAY 2: LOS ANGELES – REAGAN LIBRARY – PISMO BEACH

This morning, travel north to visit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. The state-of-the-art museum takes you from Reagan’s early years to his time spent as a world leader. The library also features the Air Force One used by President Reagan.

Later, follow the Pacific Coast north to Santa Barbara for a stop in one of California’s most picturesque cities with spectacular Mediterranean architecture. Arrive late afternoon in the Pismo Beach area for your overnight stay. (B)

DAY 3: PISMO BEACH – HEARST CASTLE – MONTEREY

Today, travel to San Simeon to enjoy a tour of Hearst Castle. Built on a hilltop overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the spectacular grounds and grandiose home feature the world-class art collection of newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst.

Then, journey north along the spectacular Big Sur Coast, the route nestled between the rocky coast and the Santa Lucia Mountains. Early this evening, arrive in Monterey for a two-night stay. (B)

DAY 4: MONTEREY-CARMEL

Today, enjoy one of the most breathtaking coastlines in the world, scenic 17-Mile Drive, home to the famous Lone Cypress, Seal Rock, and Pebble Beach Golf Course. Also, drive through and visit quaint Carmel to view tree-lined Ocean Avenue.

Later, travel to Old Monterey filled with historic buildings and where California’s statehood began in 1849. This afternoon, enjoy time at your own pace to explore more of the seaside town of Monterey. Shop and eat in Cannery Row and/or Fisherman’s Wharf, which reflect the city’s long history with the sea. Later, maybe visit the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium. (B)

DAY 5: MONTEREY – SALINAS – YOSEMITE

Travel to historic Old Town Salinas, the childhood home of author John Steinbeck, and visit the National Steinbeck Center. Founded in 1977, the center houses the largest collection of Steinbeck archives in the United States.

Later, journey inland through the fertile San Joaquin Valley, known as the breadbasket of California, and stop at a Fruit Stand. Then climb the scenic foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and arrive at your overnight accommodations near Yosemite National Park for a two-night stay. Enjoy dinner this evening with your fellow travelers in the Yosemite area. (B,D)

DAY 6: YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK

Spend the day touring and visiting Yosemite National Park, one of America’s greatest natural wonders. Enjoy a Yosemite Valley Tram Tour of the spectacular Yosemite Valley Floor and view the giant iconic formations of El Capitan and Half Dome, as well as the breathtaking Yosemite Falls, the highest in North America. During this scenic open-air experience, you will learn about the history and geology of this incredible national treasure.

Later, enjoy free time to take in the immense beauty of this wonderful and historic national park. (B)

DAY 7: SACRAMENTO – NAPA VALLEY – SAN FRANCISCO

Travel through the Sierras into Gold Country. Step back in time and experience the days of the Gold Rush at historic Old Sacramento. Later, drive into the famous Napa Valley, an area of spectacular scenery and home to some of the world’s best wineries. Stop for a Winery Tour and Tasting to sample the local product and learn about winemaking. Continue southwest, crossing the majestic Golden Gate Bridge to one of the world’s most amazing cities, San Francisco. Check in for your two-night stay in the “City by the Bay”. (B)

DAY 8: SAN FRANCISCO

Today, enjoy a San Francisco City Tour to see the Civic Center area, Chinatown, Golden Gate Park, Union Square, Seal Rocks, and Pier 39. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to browse the storefronts and see the barking sea lions at Fisherman’s Wharf, sample a chowder-filled sourdough bread bowl, or take a Cable Car ride. Tonight, enjoy a Farewell Dinner with your fellow travelers in one of San Francisco’s popular restaurants. The memorable meal will surely feature some seafood along with other menu selections. DAY 9: SAN FRANCISCO – HOME

Today, transfer to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and fly home with wonderful memories of your California Coast & Yosemite travel experience. (B)

ARK Encounter & Creation Museum (40 Days & Nights of Gospel Music) & Dinner Cruise on the Ohio River

August 6th 9th, 2024

Day 1: All excited, our journey begins as we travel to Kentucky! There will be a stop @ the 2,500 sq. foot Kentucky Artisan Center @ Berea, where you can shop for Kentucky Products, explore Kentucky crafts & arts through special exhibits & experience Kentucky hospitality. We will arrive @ our hotel in Richwood, Kentucky in the late afternoon, our home for 3 nights. Tonight, you will enjoy a narrated dinner cruise on the Ohio River aboard the B & B Riverboat. (D)

Day 2: We will spend time today at the Genesis Creation Museum in Petersburg, where the history of the bible comes to life as you walk through the museum to see the visual presentation of the “7 C’s of History: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross and Consummation.” You will see stunning exhibits, dinosaur bones, fossils, a planetarium & botanical gardens. Lunch is included today @ Noah’s Café. During the 40 days of Gospel Music, you will enjoy the concerts @ the museum, (the schedule has not been released yet). We know it’s going to be great! (B, L)

Day 3: After breakfast, we travel over to the ARK ENCOUNTER to see the full-size Noah’s Ark, 510-foot, sometimes described as the 8th wonder of the world. An amazing sight to behold! This is also during the 40 Days and Nights of the World’s Largest Christian Music Festival. Your ticket also includes admission to hear the speaker this morning and attend the concerts & hear guest speaker this afternoon. (Schedule has not been released yet). Lunch @ Emzara’s Buffet is included today. You will have all day to enjoy & explore the ARK. (B, L)

Day 4: After breakfast, we will begin our journey home reminiscing about all we experienced. We will arrive home in the late afternoon. Coastal Trains of New England – 3 Trains (8 Nights/9 Days)

September 15 – September 23

Day 1: Our journey begins today as we travel through the mountains of North Carolina, the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia & West Virginia to overnight in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. (D)

Day 2: Our journey continues to Boston for an overnight stay. Dinner will be at a local restaurant. (B, D)

Day 3: After breakfast, we will board the Amtrak Downeaster Train to Maine. Our local guide will meet us at the Amtrak Depot to board our motorcoach. We will take a narrated driving tour of the coastal villages of Kennebunk and Kennebunkport. Drive past the sandy beach and rocky coastline, past the George Bush estate at Walker’s Point and many other sites and have lunch on your own at Dock Square in Kennebunkport. This afternoon, our guide will take us to Perkin’s Cove, where we will find the start of the Marginal Way Shoreline Walking Path with benches to sit and watch the surf, a pretty drawbridge, boutiques and bobbing lobster boats. Late afternoon, we will check into our hotel. A Maine lobster dinner is included tonight, with a chicken or vegetarian alternative. (B, D)

Day 4: After an included breakfast this morning, we will check out and travel from Maine to the world’s first mountain climbing Cog Railway and meet our guide for a day of touring. You will enjoy the scenic train ride to the summit of Mount Washington, the Northeast’s highest peak! The round-trip cog ride takes approximately three hours, generally including a one hour stop at the summit. A boxed lunch is included. We will continue touring through the White Mountains, viewing the best of New Hampshire’s fall foliage. As we travel through the notches cut from the glaciers, there will be photo opportunities. Our guide is well versed in the history, geology and lore of the area. We will check into the hotel & enjoy a delicious buffet dinner. (B, L, D)

Day 5: Breakfast is included today. After breakfast, our step-on guide will join us and travel to Winnipesaukee and enjoy a scenic one-way ride on Lake Winnipesaukee (one of the largest lakes enclosed in one state), aboard the 230’ M/S Mount Washington. Our journey on the ship brings us to the port of Wolfeboro, the Oldest Summer Resort in America. Lunch and shopping will be on your own in the delightful resort town of Wolfeboro. After lunch, we will tour the Wright Museum, a museum about the World War II years with both war exhibits such as aircraft and tanks and exhibits from everyday life. You will have time to visit the Old Country Store in Moultonborough that has been around since 1781. In the late afternoon, we will arrive at Meredith Station of the Winnipesaukee Railroad Turkey Dinner Train & board the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad for the two-hour trip along Lake Winnipesaukee. You will ride the rails while eating Harts Hot Roast Turkey that is carved at our table with all of the trimmings! We will arrive at our hotel after dinner. (B, D)

Day 6: After breakfast, we make our way to Cape Cod, to meet our local guide. Lunch will be on your own at Seafood Sam’s along the Cape Cod Canal. Cape Cod extends some 70 miles into the sea and is home to both natural beauty and quaint colonial villages. Our guide will conduct a tour of Hyannis including the John F. Kennedy Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, Hyannisport and a view of St. Francis Xavier Church, the summer parish of the Kennedy family. Admission is included to the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum. The seas and shores of Hyannis Port inspired our 35th President like no other place on earth. It was here that he contemplated and accepted his run for office. Discover why he loved this place so, and how he spent his time on Cape Cod. “I always go to Hyannis Port to be revived, to know again the power of the sea and the master who rules over it and all of us.” John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Afterwards, we check into our hotel for a relaxing evening. (B, D)

Day 7: After breakfast, we will meet our local guide at our hotel for a full day of touring. We will travel historic Route 6A, the Old King’s Highway, a scenic byway winding through centuries of Cape Cod history. It winds past hundreds of historic structures which characterize its early development. You will view a windmill, a Cape Cod lighthouse and visit the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor’s Center. Sand dunes and the ocean surround you as you approach “Land’s End”- Provincetown. We are now at the extreme tip of Cape Cod. Formerly known as the “Province Lands” the pilgrims landed here first before they decided to settle across the Bay in Plymouth. Take some time to enjoy the wonderful variety of restaurants, shops, and galleries that make this artists/fisherman village so unique. Lunch is on your own today. Next, we will board an excursion vessel for an amazing experience of whale watching. We will travel into the natural habitat of a diverse marine environment including birds that migrate here from all over the Atlantic, and fish which use these shallow waters to feed. Try to spot Humpback, Minke, and Fin Whales going about their daily business. An onboard naturalist will introduce you to everything you see and will answer any or questions about the whales, birds, fish and lighthouses. OR YOU MAY CHOOSE TO STAY ON DRY LAND: Admission is included on a one-hour Dune Tour excursion. Ride through the protected lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore, the largest protected coastline in the country. Your driver/guide will point out the “dune shacks” where famous artists and writers became inspired to create their art. (B, D)

Day 8: We say our goodbyes to Cape Cod and begin our journey south, looking forward to more adventures along the way. (B, D)

Birmingham, Montgomery & Selma, Alabama History in America – Civil Rights Tour

September 27th – 30th

Day 1: Our adventures begin as we travel to Birmingham, Alabama. This afternoon, our tour starts at the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church, a Historic National Landmark that was the site of a dynamite bombing in 1963 that killed 4 young African-American girls. Just across the street is the Civil Rights Institute, the focal point of the Civil Rights District. As you tour, you will see the detailed exhibits that tell the stories of the lives of black & whites from the 1800s to the present. After the tour, we will travel on to Montgomery (our home for the next 3 nights). (Boxed Breakfast, SD)

Day 2: Today, we will begin our driving tour of Montgomery Historical Sites with our step-on guide. After lunch, the tour continues with our step-on guide to Selma. You will have the opportunity to walk across The Edmund Pettus Bridge, then walk in the footprint of The 1965 Selma to Montgomery Voting Right March. (B, SD)

Day 3: After breakfast, we will attend the worship service at Dexter Avenue King Memorial Church. This church is where Dr. Martin Luther King first preached his message of hope. Lunch will be at O’Dessa Blessings, then you will tour The National Memorial for Peace and Justice. Next to the National Memorial is the Peace and Justice Memorial Garden, a serene and beautiful setting for reflection and remembrance. This is the first memorial dedicated to enslaved African Americans. The tour continues on to The Legacy Museum that tells the story of slavery in America and its legacy through interactive media, first-person narratives, art & exhibits. We will say goodbye to our step-on guide when we return to the hotel. (B, L, SD)

Day 4: We begin our journey home. Lunch is included @ Mary Mac’s Tea Room in Atlanta on the journey home. (B, L)

FALL FOLIAGE in CHATTANOOGA (Trains – Riverboat – Duck Boat – Rock City Gardens)

OCTOBER 9TH – 12th

Day 1: All aboard as we travel to Chattanooga, Tennessee. Our first stop will be at the Enchanted Rock City Gardens featuring massive ancient rock formations & gardens with over 400 native plant species. Of course, you will also have a breathtaking panoramic view of Seven States. We ride over to our hotel to check-in to stay for 3 nights. Dinner will be at a local restaurant tonight. (D)

Day 2: After breakfast, our first adventure today is a ride on the Incline Railway that climbs the steepest part of Lookout Mountain at a 72.7 percent grade! With theater-like stepped seating and huge windows, you will have a spectacular view. The mile-high view from the observation deck is the highest of Lookout Mountain. After riding down the mountain, we move on to board the Southern Belle Riverboat for a Fall Leaf Cruise through the Tennessee River Gorge. You will enjoy a three-hour cruise into the “Grand Canyon of the South” through the most scenic part of the Tennessee River. There will be lunch with live entertainment for a toe-tapping good time, free bingo for gift shop prizes & full narrative as you cruise. After the river cruise, there will be time to shop & explore on your own. Dinner will be at a local restaurant. (B, L)

Day 3: Our day of touring begins with our guide for a ride through Chattanooga’s rich history. You will hear all about the transportation heritage of Chattanooga from the days of horse cars through the train era that the city is famous for. A box lunch is included today. You will enjoy a ride on the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum’s “Missionary Ridge Local”. Our next adventure will be on the authentic renovation WWII amphibious duck boat to get a different view of the city. While you’re on the Tennessee River, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the downtown Chattanooga riverfront and the Maclellan Island Wildlife. This will be a very entertaining ride on the river. Dinner will be at a local restaurant. (B, BL, D)

Day 4: We begin our journey home today with memories of a wonderful trip in the mountains of Chattanooga. (B)
