Day 1:  Everyone is all excited about our journey, as we leave Greenwood & head south.  There will be several stops today as we cross Georgia & reach our destination, St. Augustine, Florida (3 nights). (D)

Day 2:  After breakfast, we meet our guide to visit the Fountain of Youth to learn about the first Spanish settlers who came here in the 1600s and the native Timucuans who were here to greet then. Founded in 1565, this is the oldest continuously occupied European settlement in North America.  Lunch will be @ Five Flags before we board the Old Town Trolley to learn more about the city.  This afternoon, visit the national monument, the Castillo de San Marcos, the oldest masonry Fort in the U.S.  Listen as our guide tells tell what makes the fort so special. You will get a close-up, hands on experience of what the “Nation’s Oldest City” was really like during the 16th, 17th, & 18th centuries. Tonight, you will enjoy dinner @ a local restaurant. (B, L, D)

Day 3:  Our first adventure this morning with our guide is a tour of Flagler College, then on to The Lightner Museum that is housed in the former Alcazar Hotel built in 1888 by Henry Flagler.  Today, it is home to one of the best collections of fine and decorative 29th century art in the country. Lunch will be @ the Spanish Bakery. After lunch, we will tour the Oldest House Museum that stands on the site & used since the 1600’s. This is Florida’s oldest colonial home.  We will have some time to freshen up for dinner.  Dinner will be @ La Pavilion.  You are in for a treat as you watch & listen to The Wives and Lives of Henry Flagler, an intriguing evening!  We will go back to the hotel after the play for our last restful night in St. Augustine. (B, L, D)

Day 4:  After breakfast, we begin our journey home, our heads full of the history & secrets of “The oldest City” where the past becomes the present.  We will stop in Savannah to shop on River Street & see the barges go up & down the river.  Lunch will be @ Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room. (B, L)
